More About Us

Pinwheel is a creative agency, based in the
North East of England, and working regionally, nationally and internationally.

We conceive, direct and produce outdoor and site-specific arts projects, major cultural events and festivals, as well as providing consultancy services across our areas of expertise.

Pinwheel believes that culture is essential, bringing enriching communal experiences to our everyday lives.  It is the antidote to boredom; it is astonishment and wonder, contemplation and connection, inspiration and delight.

Our work is driven by the twin principles of delivering exceptional, high-quality and accessible experiences to the broadest possible audiences, and of supporting our artists and creative teams to push boundaries and create their best work.

  • KATY FULLER

Katy set up Pinwheel LTD. in 2019, although she had previously worked under the same name so Pinwheel history stretches back to 2010.

She also created Land of Green Ginger, a groundbreaking citywide programme of commissions - “Acts of Wanton Wonder” – united under one narrative, and Urban Legends: Northern Lights, a new festival of projection inspired by the links between Hull and Scandinavian Countries.

Prior to this, Katy had worked on some of the UK’s most iconic events including Royal de Luxe’sThe Sultan’s Elephant, which brought central London to a standstill, and Antony Gormley’sOne & Other for the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square.
